The NHS is well prepared for outbreaks of new infectious diseases and has put in place measures to ensure the safety of all patients and NHS staff while also ensuring services are available to the public as normal.

Following NHS guidance, and to help protect our staff and patients, we are making the following changes to how we provide appointments.
🔸All routine GP appointments will be done via telephone in the first instance. Once the GP has spoken to you on the phone, they can arrange to see you if necessary
🔸All Diabetic, Asthma and COPD annual reviews will be done via telephone with the specialist Nurse
If you have a prebooked appointment please DO NOT COME TO THE SURGERY, you will be called as close to your appointment time as possible 📞
Patients will be contacted and informed.
🔸All other appointments will continue as normal and patients will be contacted to screen for coronavirus symptoms prior to attendance. 💉Blood tests, injections, wounds and smears are still going ahead as planned (we will update you if this changes).

Need an 'Isolation Note' for work?
If you are 🏠self-isolating due to yourself or a family member having corona virus symptoms you can now obtain an isolation note from NHS 111 for your employers. You no longer need to contact your doctor for a Med3.
To get a self-isolation note please visit https://111.nhs.uk/isolation-note/ and answer the questions.
This is only for unwell patients or those isolating as they have a unwell family member. This is not for patients who are staying at home/ social distancing as a precaution.
ONLINE BOOKING UNAVAILABLE
To help stop the spread of COVID-19 we have made the decision to temporarily suspend the booking of appointments online to allow us to obtain a travel history / symptoms before patients attend the practice. We hope you will understand and support us in this decision.
We would encourage patients to make use of our eConsult service, which will be triaged by a GP and you will be contacted to arrange an appointment if required.
Please be aware of the added workload this puts on our Reception Team, and be patient if it takes longer than usual to get through on the telephone. We are doing our best to prevent potential exposure and protect our patients and staff

The Practice Philosophy
Our main aim is to be caring approachable family doctors providing the highest possible medical, nursing and social care. Working together with other support services to achieve the wellbeing of our patients will be of the highest priority, with particular regard to their dignity.
